January 2025: OBD2B-Compliant Gixxer 250 Launched Suzuki launched the 2025 Gixxer 250 on January 9, 2025, updated to comply with OBD Phase 2B (OBD2B) emissions norms. The ex-showroom price was revised to Rs 1,98,000 in Delhi, up from the previous model's Rs 1,81,517. The mechanical package remained unchanged - same 249cc engine, dual-channel ABS, and Bluetooth instrument console. The update introduced three new colours: Metallic Mat Black No. 2, Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, and Pearl Glacier White.
January 2026: Expanded Colour Range In January 2026, Suzuki India refreshed the Gixxer range with additional colour options, with prices unchanged. New additions included Pearl Glacier White/Metallic Mat Platinum Silver No. 2, Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Sparkle Black.
Upcoming: Next-Generation Gixxer 250 (Expected Late 2026 or Early 2027) ZigWheels and industry sources report that Suzuki is preparing a significantly updated next-generation Gixxer 150 and Gixxer 250 for the Indian market, potentially arriving by end of 2026 or early 2027. No official announcement has been made. The current platform has been in service since 2019 and a major overhaul is widely expected - potentially including a new frame, updated suspension, and refreshed styling.

Anticipated upgrades include a TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation, USD forks, grippier tyres, and brighter LED headlights - though no specs or pricing have been officially confirmed by Suzuki India.
Suzuki Motorcycle India launched the 2026 Gixxer 250 on January 15, 2026 with three new colour options - Pearl Glacier White/Metallic Mat Platinum Silver No.2, Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Sparkle Black - along with newly designed 10-spoke alloy wheels with a brushed finish. The ex-showroom price remains Rs 1,81,517 (Delhi); introductory benefits of up to Rs 10,000 are available on insurance and extended warranty.
