Suzuki E Access Specifications: Motor, Battery & Charging
The Suzuki E Access is powered by a rear-swingarm-mounted BLDC motor making 4.1 kW of peak power and 15 Nm of torque. That's modest compared to more performance-oriented electric scooters, but it's well-matched to the commuter-focused character of the bike. The motor is paired with an automatic belt drive that Suzuki rates for up to 70,000 km before replacement - no clutch, no gears, zero drama.
The heart of the E Access is its 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. Unlike the NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) cells used by most rivals, LFP chemistry is inherently more thermally stable, making it less prone to degradation in India's heat. Suzuki backs this with a best-in-class 7-year / 80,000 km warranty on the battery and motor. The ARAI-certified IDC range is 95 km per charge - real-world usage typically yields 68-80 km depending on riding mode, traffic, and rider weight.
Charging via the bundled portable AC charger takes about 6 hours 20 minutes for a full charge, or roughly 4.5 hours to 80%. Fast DC charging (available at select Suzuki dealerships and public stations in 30+ cities) cuts that to about 2 hours 12 minutes. The E Access does not support home-based fast charging - the fast charger is external.
Three riding modes - Eco, Ride A, and Ride B - let you tune the throttle response. Eco mode caps speed at around 55 km/h and maximises range; Ride A and B progressively open up throttle response up to the 71 km/h top speed. There's also a reverse assist mode for tight parking spots.
Dimensions: 1860 × 715 × 1135 mm, wheelbase 1305 mm, ground clearance 160 mm, kerb weight 122 kg. Seat height is 765 mm - comfortable for riders under 5'7". Underseat storage is 17 litres.

Braking is handled by a 190 mm disc up front and a 130 mm drum at the rear, linked by a Combi Brake System (CBS). ABS is not available. Suspension uses a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a rear swingarm with coil spring - both functional but the rear has drawn criticism for being stiff on broken roads. Tyres are 90/90-12 (front) and 100/80-12 (rear) tubeless alloys on 12-inch rims.
