Hero Xpulse 200T 4V - Full Specifications
The Hero Xpulse 200T 4V is powered by a 199.6cc, oil-cooled, four-valve, single-cylinder engine that produces 18.9 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.3 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Paired with a 5-speed gearbox, it delivers a responsive, predictable ride in city conditions with enough pull for moderate highway stints up to 85-90 kmph.
Hero claims an ARAI mileage of 43 kmpl - and real-world owner figures consistently land between 40 and 45 kmpl depending on riding style. That's genuinely impressive for a 200cc bike. The 13-litre tank translates to a realistic riding range of 520-570 km between fill-ups, making fuel anxiety a non-issue for daily commuters and weekend tourers alike.
Suspension is a highlight: the front runs a 37mm telescopic fork, while the rear gets a 7-step pre-load-adjustable mono-shock with a box-type swingarm - giving the bike a plush ride quality over the kind of broken roads that characterise most Indian cities. Ground clearance stands at 177mm, enough for most urban obstacles.
Braking is handled by a 276mm front disc with a 2-piston caliper and a 220mm rear disc with a 1-piston caliper. Single-channel ABS comes as standard - effective, but the absence of dual-channel ABS is a missed opportunity for a touring-positioned bike.
At 153 kg kerb weight and a 797mm seat height, the Xpulse 200T 4V is accessible for riders of average Indian build - riders of 5'5" and above will have their feet flat on the ground. The upright handlebar and wide, flat seat make longer stints genuinely comfortable.
The feature list stands out for the price: a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, a USB Type-A charging port, and full-LED lighting front and rear. When it launched in December 2022, this was class-leading at under Rs 1.26 lakh.

On paper, the Xpulse 200T 4V ticks most boxes for a capable urban commuter with weekend touring ambitions. The 4-valve engine upgrade over the older 2V version delivers noticeably better refinement at city speeds. Where the numbers fall short is at the top end - 18.9 bhp is adequate for city use but leaves the engine strained above 90 kmph on the highway. Vibrations through the footpegs and handlebars become noticeable as speeds climb past that mark. For riders who primarily use city roads with occasional highway stretches under 90 kmph, these specs represent solid value. For dedicated highway tourers, the spec sheet honestly points you toward the RE Hunter 350 or the newer Xpulse 210 instead.
