Apache RTR 160 4V after one riding season - quick review

Picked up the RTR 160 4V about 8 months back mainly for the daily office commute, and overall it's been a solid companion. The 5-inch TFT with SmartXonnect is honestly more useful than I expected going in, turn-by-turn navigation on the dash means I'm not glancing at my phone mounted on the handlebar anymore, and switching between Sport, Urban and Rain modes does change how the throttle responds, it's not just a marketing gimmick. Real world mileage for me has settled around 34-36 kmpl in mostly city traffic with some highway stretches on weekends, a bit below the claimed figures but that's expected with how I ride. The five-speed gearbox is buttery smooth and the clutch is light enough that peak hour traffic doesn't wear out my hand the way my old bike did.

This site also has a proper spec breakdown on the RTR 160 4V, saved me a lot of back and forth with the dealer when I was deciding. My one complaint is the seat gets uncomfortable after about 45 minutes of continuous riding, definitely not built for long tours without an aftermarket cushion. Also wish the ride mode selection was a bit more intuitive, took me a week of fumbling to get used to switching on the move. Otherwise no mechanical issues so far, both services have been routine and reasonably priced. Anyone running the SmartXonnect app long term, does the Bluetooth connection stay stable for you or does it randomly drop like mine does occasionally?

Thinking of buying this over the Pulsar N250, both seem to be priced closely. For those who've owned both or ridden both back to back, how does the Apache's engine refinement compare at higher revs? Also does anyone know if the race telemetry feature in the app actually logs useful lean angle and braking data, or is it more of a novelty that you check once and forget about?

Same experience here on the seat comfort front, had to add a gel seat cover after month two. The SmartXonnect app connection issue you mentioned is real though, mine drops maybe once every few rides, usually reconnects if I toggle Bluetooth off and on. Otherwise loving the bike, the USD front forks make a noticeable difference over the older RTR 160 I used to own, corners feel far more planted now.

Interesting that you're getting 34-36, I've actually managed close to 40 kmpl but I ride fairly conservatively and stick to Urban mode most of the time in the city. Sport mode does eat into mileage noticeably if you're using it often. On the app front mine has been rock solid, so it might just be phone dependent, what are you using? Might be worth checking for a firmware update on the console too.
