TVS Apache RR 310 Specifications - Engine, Electronics & Chassis
The heart of the TVS Apache RR 310 is a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine co-developed with BMW Motorrad - the same base platform that powers the BMW G 310 RR and G 310 R globally. TVS has tuned it specifically for the RR 310, extracting 37.54 bhp at 9,800 rpm and 29 Nm at 7,900 rpm in standard mode. In Sport and Track riding modes, the 2025 update pushes output to 38 PS, achieved through forged pistons, a larger airbox, and a revised throttle body.
The engine sits in a steel tubular perimeter frame with a reverse-inclined cylinder layout that lowers the centre of gravity for sharper turn-in. Suspension is via 41 mm upside-down (USD) forks at the front - adjustable for preload and damping - and a rear monoshock with similar adjustability. This setup is typically found on bikes costing Rs 5-7 lakh, not sub-Rs 3 lakh machines.
Braking hardware is equally serious: 300 mm front disc with a 4-piston Bybre calliper, 240 mm rear disc, and dual-channel switchable ABS with cornering capability. The ABS can be switched off for track use - a feature most bikes at this price don't offer.
At 174 kg kerb weight, the RR 310 is competitive in its segment. The 810 mm seat height is manageable for most Indian riders - those around 5'4" to 5'6" will reach the ground with a slight tiptoe, while taller riders will find the ergonomics genuinely sporty without being punishing. Ground clearance is 180 mm, adequate for most Indian road conditions.
Electronics are the RR 310's calling card: TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth SmartConnect, 5 riding modes (Urban, Sport, Track, Rain, and custom), launch control, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, rear lift-off protection, slope-dependent ABS, and cornering cruise control. The optional bi-directional quickshifter adds clutchless upshifts and downshifts. Tyres are Michelin Road 5-110/70-ZR17 front, 150/60-ZR17 rear.
