KTM RC 200 Full Specifications & Technical Details 2026
The KTM RC 200 runs a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine with fuel injection, producing 25 PS at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. That power-to-weight ratio - 25 PS against 160 kg kerb weight - is among the best in the sub-200cc faired segment in India.
The chassis is a split-type trellis frame borrowed from KTM's larger RC models, with a bolted-on aluminium sub-frame. Suspension is WP APEX throughout: 43mm USD (upside-down) forks at the front with adjustable preload, compression, and rebound, paired with a WP APEX monoshock at the rear. Wheel sizes are 110/70-17 front and 150/60-17 rear, both on alloys.
Braking is a genuine highlight: a 320mm petal disc with radially-mounted calipers at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear, running dual-channel ABS with a Supermoto mode. Supermoto mode cuts rear ABS, letting the rear wheel step out during spirited cornering - a feature absent from the Yamaha R15 V4 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
Other key dimensions: 13.7-litre fuel tank (up from 9.5L in the older model), 835mm seat height (the tallest in its segment), 158mm ground clearance, and a 1,341mm wheelbase. ARAI-rated mileage is 43.5 kmpl; real-world city figure is closer to 33-38 kmpl.
The 2025 update replaced the older monochrome LCD with a 5-inch colour TFT display sourced from the 200 Duke. It shows gear position, fuel level, trip data, and supports two customisable screen layouts. Switchgear was redesigned simultaneously.
Service interval is 5,000 km for the first service and every 10,000 km thereafter.

Against rivals, the RC 200 leads on power (25 PS vs R15 V4's 18.4 PS and Pulsar RS200's 24.5 PS), front disc size, and suspension hardware quality. The 835mm seat height is the tallest in segment - shorter riders should check before buying. The R15 V4 counters with lighter weight (141 kg), traction control, and a quickshifter on the top variant - technology the RC 200 still lacks. On pure mechanical hardware, the KTM wins; on features, the Yamaha is ahead.
