KTM 250 Adventure Full Technical Specifications
The KTM 250 Adventure is powered by a 249.07cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine borrowed from the Duke 250. It produces 31 PS at 9250 rpm and 25 Nm of torque at 7250 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine features ride-by-wire throttle and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard - a first-in-class feature at this price point.
Suspension duty is handled by WP Apex upside-down (USD) forks at the front with 200 mm of travel, and a WP Apex offset monoshock at the rear with 205 mm travel. This is proper premium hardware, not the basic telescopic forks you get on similarly priced bikes. Ground clearance stands at 228 mm, making it genuinely useful for broken roads and light trails.
Braking comes from a 320 mm front disc with radially mounted caliper and a 230 mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS as standard. Crucially, the ABS has an Offroad mode that allows the rear ABS to be switched off for controlled braking on loose surfaces - a thoughtful feature for a sub-₹3 lakh bike.
The 14.5-litre metal fuel tank is a key touring credential. Kerb weight is 177 kg with a full tank, which is lighter than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 (196 kg) and Bajaj Dominar 400 (193 kg). Seat height at 825 mm is reasonable for the segment, and KTM offers an optional 805 mm lowered seat for shorter riders.
The instrument cluster is a 5-inch bonded glass TFT colour display with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation via the KTM MY RIDE app, call and SMS alerts, and music control. A USB-C port for device charging is mounted on the headstock. The full-LED lighting includes a projector headlamp with U-shaped DRLs and LED tail lamp.

On paper, the KTM 250 Adventure punches significantly above its price. The WP suspension, TFT display with navigation, off-road ABS, and bi-directional quickshifter are normally found on bikes priced at ₹3.5-5 lakh. The 249cc engine is on the smaller end for a dedicated adventure bike, but the light weight and class-leading suspension more than compensate. For riders who plan NH tours and occasional dirt tracks, this spec sheet is genuinely hard to argue against at ₹2.40 lakh ex-showroom.
