Hero Destini 125 Variants - Which One to Buy?
The Hero Destini 125 is available in three variants - VX, ZX, and ZX+ - spanning from ₹80,242 to ₹90,438 (average ex-showroom). Each variant builds on the previous, so the question isn't really which variant is 'best' - it's how much of that ₹10,000 gap you're willing to pay for.
VX - ₹80,242 (ex-showroom) The entry point. You get the 124.6cc engine, i3S, a semi-digital instrument cluster, LED DRL headlamp, USB charger, external fuel filler, and side-stand engine cut-off. Braking is drum-drum with IBS. This is a solid daily commuter that skips Bluetooth and disc brakes to keep costs down. For buyers who mainly use their scooter for predictable city routes, the VX does everything that matters.
ZX - ₹89,460 (ex-showroom) Add ₹9,218 over the VX and you get a front disc brake, a fully digital instrument console, and Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. The disc brake alone justifies the jump for anyone riding in heavy rain or on busy roads. This is the sweet spot in the range.
ZX+ - ₹90,438 (ex-showroom) Just ₹978 more than the ZX, the ZX+ adds auto-cancelling indicators and a pillion backrest - two comfort upgrades that are genuinely useful on longer rides. If you're already buying the ZX, it's worth paying the extra ₹978 for the ZX+.
Which variant should you buy? For most buyers, the ZX+ is the answer. The disc brake, Bluetooth, and auto-cancelling indicators make daily riding measurably safer and more convenient, and ₹10,000 over the VX is a reasonable ask. Budget-conscious buyers or those who primarily ride in clear weather can save money with the VX.

Prices quoted here are average ex-showroom figures - your actual ex-showroom price will vary slightly by city, and on-road prices (adding RTO, insurance, and dealer charges) typically add ₹8,000 - ₹15,000 depending on your state's road tax. Delhi and Mumbai tend to have slightly higher on-road prices than Bengaluru or Hyderabad due to RTO slabs. Check the price-in-city page for your exact on-road figure. All three variants are available in multiple colour options, so colour choice doesn't limit which variant you can pick.
