Access 125 owner for 2 years now - small niggles but overall happy

Two years and about 8,000 km into owning my Access 125, mostly short city trips and a weekly visit to my parents' place around 20 km away. Went with this over the Activa mainly because I liked the Suzuki engine's refinement when I test rode both back to back. Mileage has settled at around 47-48 kmpl for me in mixed city riding, though I've seen other owners claim upwards of 55 with careful riding, so there's clearly some headroom if you're gentle with the throttle.

What's stood out most is how smooth and vibration-free the engine feels even with a pillion on board, it genuinely doesn't feel strained carrying two people around town. Build quality feels a notch above what I expected at this price, nothing has rattled loose in two years, and the underseat space swallows a full-face helmet without a fight. The one downside is Suzuki's service network, it's nowhere near as widespread as Honda's, so I occasionally have to plan ahead a bit since the nearest authorized centre isn't exactly around the corner. Costs have been reasonable whenever I do get there though.

Before finalizing mine I spent a while on the Access 125 listing on this site, it's what helped me settle on the variant.

For those who've had theirs longer than me, has reliability held up well past the 20,000-30,000 km mark? Curious before I plan a longer trip on it.

Can vouch for the long-term reliability question, I'm at just over 30,000 km on mine, going on 4 years now, and mechanically it's been trouble-free apart from routine wear items like brake pads and tyres. Mileage has stayed consistent too, still getting mid-to-high 40s. The engine refinement you mentioned is genuinely the best part of owning this scooter, my wife rides it too and says it's the smoothest two-wheeler she's used. Only thing I'd add is keep an eye on the CVT belt around the 25,000-30,000 km mark, that's typically when it needs replacing on these.

Great writeup, matches most of what I've experienced too. Question, how's the ground clearance been for you on broken roads or steep driveways? That's the one spec that worried me a bit before buying since a couple of older reviews mentioned scraping on speed breakers when loaded with two people. Wondering if that's actually a real world issue or just an occasional worst-case scenario people ran into.

Good honest review. I'll admit the service network thing is real, I've had to travel a bit further than I'd like for a couple of services, which is the one advantage I'd give the Activa owners in my circle. That said I don't regret the choice at all, for me the smoother engine and slightly better handling were worth that small inconvenience. Everyone's priorities are different though, if having a service centre in every second lane matters more to you than outright refinement, Honda still wins that particular battle.
