1 year, 14,000 km with the Creta - does it still feel worth the premium?

Completed a year with mine a few weeks back, roughly 14,000 km in, mostly a mix of city runs and a couple of long highway trips for family visits. The thing that still impresses me is how composed the ride is - it genuinely feels like it's punching above its segment on longer drives, and the features list (ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, the works) makes the cabin feel properly premium.

The gripes are small but real. The infotainment unit has frozen on me twice, needing a restart to fix, and I was mildly annoyed to find wireless phone mirroring isn't offered even on my top-spec variant - you'd expect that at this price point in 2026. Mileage in daily city use is a bit below what I'd hoped for too, though I've read that's a common complaint among other owners as well, not unique to my car.

On the plus side I keep reading about people crossing a lakh kilometres on these without major mechanical drama, which gives me confidence for the long haul. Anyone else facing the infotainment freeze issue, and did a software update from the dealer actually resolve it for good?

I test drove this before buying a rival SUV instead, and the softer suspension setup you're describing as "composed" felt a bit too floaty for my taste when pushed on curvy ghat roads, started feeling less planted at speed compared to what I ended up choosing. Not saying it's bad, it clearly suits most people's daily needs better, just wanted to offer a different perspective since everyone here seems to already own one.

Have had mine for almost two years and just over 60,000 km now, and mechanically it's been trouble-free - only real issue was a minor dashboard rattle that got sorted under warranty. The infotainment freezing thing you mentioned happened to me maybe three times total, a software update did seem to reduce the frequency though it hasn't completely vanished. Overall still think it was worth the money for what we use it for.

What mileage figure is your trip computer actually showing versus what you calculate manually at the pump? There's usually a gap of 1-2 kmpl between the two on most cars from this brand I've owned. Also worth double checking your tyre pressures are at the recommended spec, low pressure quietly kills mileage on these SUVs more than people realise, and it's a five minute fix.
