Been riding my Jupiter for about 8 months now, roughly 5,000 km on the clock, mostly city commute with the odd weekend trip. Bought it mainly for the seat and floorboard space since I regularly carry my kid to school, and on that front it's been excellent, genuinely one of the roomiest 125cc scooters I've sat on. Ride quality over broken roads and speed breakers is noticeably plusher than a lot of scooters in this segment too, the suspension just soaks things up well.Mileage is where I have mixed feelings. TVS's claimed figure is up in the high 40s, but in actual daily riding with AC running at home and errands around town, I'm averaging somewhere in the low-to-mid 40s. Not bad by any means, just not quite what I expected going in. Engine feels smooth and pickup is more than adequate for city use, no complaints there. Build quality and features feel practical rather than flashy, which I honestly prefer over gimmicks, and service experience so far has been fine with nothing major to report.For anyone doing the same comparison shopping I did, there's a decent Jupiter variant breakdown on this site that covers the pricing properly.Curious what mileage the rest of you Jupiter owners are getting day to day, am I doing something wrong or is low-40s just the realistic number?

Good to see an honest review instead of the usual all-praise posts. Question for you, how has the boot space held up practically? I'm considering the Jupiter mainly for storage since I need to carry a small tool bag and files daily, and reviews on this vary quite a bit. Also does the pillion seat stay comfortable on the odd 40-50 km trip, or does whoever's sitting behind start getting tired after a while? Would help before I commit to one.

You're not doing anything wrong, low-to-mid 40s is pretty much what most of us are seeing in real use. I've had mine almost 2 years now and it's settled around 42-43 kmpl on my daily 20 km round trip, only creeping toward high 40s on a longer, mostly open-road ride with no stop and go. Claimed figures on pretty much every scooter in this class tend to be a bit optimistic once you factor in AC, traffic signals, and carrying a pillion regularly. No regrets otherwise, the seat comfort and underseat storage have made a real difference for me too.

Interesting thread. My experience has actually been a touch better, I get close to high-40s on my commute, but I ride fairly light-handed and my route has very few signals, so I think a lot comes down to riding style and route more than the scooter itself. One thing I'd add that hasn't come up yet, mine developed a slight rattle near the front apron after about a year, dealer sorted it under warranty without much fuss. Worth getting any small noise checked early rather than ignoring it and letting it get worse.
