Picked up a petrol AMT six months back mainly because of the seating height and how easy it is to place in traffic and on the rough roads near my society. No regrets on that front - the driving position genuinely makes city commuting less stressful, and the mileage has settled around 11-12 kmpl in stop-go traffic and closer to high teens on a clear highway run, which lines up with what most owners of this model report online.The gripe, and it's a real one, is fit and finish. There's a rattle from somewhere near the dashboard on rough patches that the service centre "fixed" twice and it's back within a week. Panel gaps around the tailgate are also visible if you look closely, nothing structural, just feels like corners were cut somewhere. On the plus side service costs have been genuinely low, nothing has crossed 8,000 rupees so far including a full service.Anyone else dealing with dashboard rattles on theirs, or did I just get an unlucky build? Curious if it's a running production issue or specific to certain months.

Following this thread since I'm three months into ownership and it's given me some peace of mind that it's a known issue rather than something wrong with my particular unit. One thing that helped me was getting a cheap door and dashboard sound deadening kit installed aftermarket, cut down a lot of the road noise and one rattle I had near the glovebox disappeared completely. Costs around two to three thousand outside, might be worth trying before another dealer visit.

Not just you, mine started rattling around the 15,000 km mark, same dashboard area near the AC vents. The service centre used some foam padding trick that's held up for about four months now, so worth asking them specifically for that instead of just a generic "we checked, all fine" response. Otherwise the car itself has been solid for me, touchwood, and the low running costs you mentioned match my experience too.

Genuinely surprised reading this because my manual petrol variant has been silent, no rattles at all after a year and 12,000 km, and I drive on some genuinely bad roads in my area. I did almost go for a bigger SUV instead purely for the extra safety cushion and footprint, but this made more sense for tight city parking. Maybe it really does vary batch to batch, worth checking if yours was from an early production run.
