ParticipantAs someone living near the ORR, my biggest automotive headache isn’t the weekday traffic—it’s the weekend service center run.
Driving down to an Authorized Service Center (ASC) or even a reputed FNG (Friendly Neighborhood Garage) on a Saturday or Sunday just to get an AC filter cleaned, a battery checked, or brake pads swapped ends up killing half the day. By the time you get the car back, the weekend is basically over.
I’ve noticed a huge shift recently towards doorstep mobile mechanics here in Bangalore, especially startups offering “SOS” emergency jumps and routine servicing right in apartment basements. The appeal of not dealing with the garage crowd is massive, but I know some purists here still prefer putting the car on a proper hydraulic lift even for minor things.
For those of you in heavy-traffic cities like BLR or BOM: Are you trusting these newer doorstep auto-tech startups for your routine checks and minor fixes, or are you still sacrificing your Sunday mornings at the traditional garage?
